Great news! The Midwest Hospice and Palliative Medicine Integrated Fellowship program has received accreditation by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABHPM)!
The fellowship program is a collaborative effort of Rush University Medical Center, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Rush North Shore Medical Center and Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter.
ABHPM accreditation distinguishes the program by recognizing its compliance with national standards for training in palliative medicine.
The program is one of only 19 nationwide that has received this accreditation and one of two in Illinois. It is the only community-based healthcare program in the state to be recognized as an education and training center for palliative care.
